After
you have downloaded and installed
the Dynamic DNS App, and registered for one of our many services
you are ready to launch the DNS App. Click your start button,
then programs. You should see (MyServer.org Dynamic DNS App)
listed on your program list. Once you click on it you will
be prompted with a login screen.

(HTTP) Relay account, you cannot use the DNS app to configure
your relayed DNS records. Please see our Setting Up Records
for Basic Port Relay accounts for more information.
Type
in the username and password which you created when you registered
for the service. The (Save Login) will store your login information
in your registry so the next time you launch the application
you do not need to enter this information. It is recommended
that if you use this option you write down your password.
We find that customers forget what they used after some time,
and if they need to reinstall for any reason they don't remember
what it was. If you have forgotten your password, E-Mail support@myserver.org
and we will mail it back to you. Please include your username
in the E-Mail. We will only E-Mail the password to the E-Mail
address we have on record. So please keep your E-Mail address
up to date.
By
clicking on Help, and Advanced you can change some of the
parameters of the application. Run as a service has not yet
been implemented in the beta version. If you wish to run the
application as a service we do have an article in the Beta
App Support Forum.

you use SSL. Ports, If your ISP uses any kind of caching server
you have the ability to change what port the application talks
to our servers with. ISP's that use caching servers will cause
undesired effects with the Auto IP resolution of the service
returning the IP address of the caching server instead of
your outside routable IP address. This function is disabled
if you select the SSL option. Caching servers to not cache
SSL content. Refresh rate, this option determines the heartbeat
rate of the Auto IP Resolution. Selecting 30 seconds will
force the application to check your IP address every 30 seconds
and update the DNS servers in the event that your IP address
changes. We recommend that you use 120 seconds to reduce the
amount of traffic on your Internet connection.
